Your Well-Being provides a confidential space for parents to improve their relationships with their children and explore their experiences and challenges in the format of individual sessions and family review sessions.
You will develop tools to improve your capacity for effective, healthy parenting. You will also learn mindfulness-based techniques to support the alleviation of stress, increased well-being and improved self-awareness.
This will be achieved by:
- Gaining insight into your child's development. A neutral perspective can often offer a valuable insight into challenges present within your family.
- Assistance in understanding your child's behaviour. Is this a normal stage of development? Or is their development ‘stuck’?
- Emotional and psychological education so that you are better equipped to understand and relate to your child’s current developmental stage.
- Support in finding new ways to communicate effectively with your child.
- Developing healthy responses to challenging emotions. We can work with your anger and grief, and develop healthy ways of expressing ‘difficult to digest’ emotions.
